Client Success: Family Farm & Home

Posted by Drew Conklin on Mon, Jun 26, 2017 @ 11:06 AM

When we launch a new campaign for a client, it is based on research and evaluation of all the different media channels available to us to promote their brand. This is the case when we launched an 11-week campaign for our client, Family Farm & Home (FFH), in early Spring.

Media Plan Synergy

Posted by Drew Conklin on Wed, Jun 7, 2017 @ 09:06 AM

Having begun working in the agency world back when Digital was not even a "thing" yet, I can honestly say I've been doing this a long time and seen a ton of change to the media landscape. However, at the end of the day the planning process and how we go about it hasn't changed much.

July Good Media Idea: Mural advertising

Posted by Scott Christopher on Fri, Jul 29, 2016 @ 13:07 PM

When trying to reach densely populated city centers a media idea we have explored is mural advertising. Although it is a more permanent option than a billboard, it is a creative way to get a brand's message out and definitely adds a "cool" factor. It's also a way to get exposure despite limited OOH inventory which can be the case for a lot of cities - especially if you need to go to market quickly.

What Do You Do For a Living?

Posted by Drew Conklin on Fri, Apr 15, 2016 @ 12:04 PM

When I meet new people, the question always comes up, "What do you do for a living?" It's like in college when you first meet someone and you always ask, "what's your major?" I guess it is just human nature for us to just be curious about what other people do.

Good Media Idea: Rainvertising in Seattle

Posted by Scott Christopher on Fri, Aug 15, 2014 @ 09:08 AM

I realize that we often highlight outdoor in our monthly good media ideas, but there's a lot of room for innovation & creativity in this space. This month's idea is a fun one that really only works in the city that it's been done - Seattle. The idea is something that Media Post calls "Rainvertising," and was executed by agency Publicis Seattle. To promote a local music & arts festival Bumbershoot, the ad campaign called for the use of a rain-activated paint called NeverWet that only comes visible when wet. They painted the streets and sidewalks of the city with clever tags and promos related to the festival and rain. Watch below video for a full video of how they pulled this off.

April Good Media Idea: MINI Cooper's digital billboard campaign

Posted by Scott Christopher on Tue, Apr 29, 2014 @ 11:04 AM

This month's Good Media Idea features MINI Cooper and an excellent use of digital billboards in a campaign celebrating existing customers. Last summer, MINI UK bought a series of digital billboards in a highly trafficked area in London and featured images from actual MINI drivers' social accounts displaying their unusally strong relationships with their cars as a part of their 'Not Normal' campaign. But one week, they made these boards even more interactive. Using a team of "spotters" on the road, they identified MINI drivers to activate real-time "salutes" to the drivers by switching out customized creative to feature these actual drivers as they drove by! Watch more in the video below:

Good Media Idea: IBM's Smarter Cities OOH campaign

Posted by Scott Christopher on Mon, Jul 15, 2013 @ 11:07 AM

We've said it before, but we love ideas that take the message of a campaign, incorporate a traditional medium to create an advertisement that expresses that message in a fuller way. It's memorable, effective, and exponentially increases the reach of your advertising, thereby making your ad budget work harder.
