October Good Media Idea: OOH + beacons

Posted by Scott Christopher on Mon, Oct 31, 2016 @ 16:10 PM

This month's Good Media Idea comes to us from Smartwater and their "Life Distilled" campaign. It highlights the possibilities that are available when a brand harnesses the power of Out-of-Home combined with beacon technology. The campaign ran earlier this fall in London and used beacons to target select passerby's of certain billboard locations with interesting factoids via push notification, ie. “Click here for the Top 5 ‘distilled’ things to do in Hoxton By Reem Kanj on behalf of GLACÉAU smartwater #lifedistilled.”

Posted by Scott Christopher on Thu, Sep 15, 2016 @ 15:09 PM

Luckily, you have your friends at McCulloch+Company to help you navigate these waters and explain what all of these terms mean. Ford + Olympics + Snapchat = effective media campaign

Posted by Scott Christopher on Fri, Aug 12, 2016 @ 10:08 AM

So, the Olympics is happening right now. I know, I know - you had no idea. If you're like me, you've been staying up way too late to cheer on the athletes wearing the red, white and blue. From all the gold in swimming to the women gymnasts topping the podium again, it's been pretty exciting to watch.

July Good Media Idea: Mural advertising

Posted by Scott Christopher on Fri, Jul 29, 2016 @ 13:07 PM

When trying to reach densely populated city centers a media idea we have explored is mural advertising. Although it is a more permanent option than a billboard, it is a creative way to get a brand's message out and definitely adds a "cool" factor. It's also a way to get exposure despite limited OOH inventory which can be the case for a lot of cities - especially if you need to go to market quickly.

June Good Media Idea: Podcast advertising

Posted by Scott Christopher on Mon, Jun 13, 2016 @ 11:06 AM

There is no doubt that podcast listening is enjoying a bit of a resurgence. It is estimated that over 98 million will tune in this year, about 21% of all Americans each month. Not only is it a large quantity of people, but it is an attractive audience that a lot of brands want to reach - highly educated with higher household income and ethnically diverse. And yes podcast listening does over-index among millennials (A18-34).

May Good Media Idea: radio and OOH integration

Posted by Scott Christopher on Fri, May 20, 2016 @ 17:05 PM

The best media ideas are those that incorporate several media channels. For example an online video campaign that is supported with digital display, custom eblasts as well as on all active social channels. This month's good media idea is one such campaign and involves an integration between two traditional media channels - terrestrial radio and out-of-home. The campaign comes to us from London and started earlier this spring to promote Justin Bieber's latest album, "Purpose."

April Good Media Idea: Immersive Mobile Units

Posted by Scott Christopher on Wed, Apr 20, 2016 @ 13:04 PM

It's been a few months (okay-several) but we like to showcase good media ideas we have seen. This month we are featuring immersive mobile units. As smartphone penetration across the US reaches 80%, we know that a mobile campaign is almost always a good idea, even for B2B clients. We have done some exciting campaigns for some of our B2B clients including geofencing around important conventions - and it makes sense given that 42% of B2B decision-makers use a mobile device in their purchasing process. (That's up 91% by the way, according to Think With Google).
